It is a matter of great jubilation to note that Crescent English Medium School is stepping in to 5th year of its inception and celebrating its Silver Jubilee. Being the president of the institution for a long tenure of 43 years, that is, since 1973, it is an honor and pleasure for me to write few words about this prestigious institution. As we all know, Crescent Welfare for me to write few words about this prestigious institution. As we all know, Crescent Welfare Association had a very humble beginning and it had its ups and downs during three years of its existence.
When the Association founded in 1956, Marhoom U. Ahmed Hussain was the Founder President and Marhoom U Ameer Hussain was then the secretary. Actually, Late Mrs. Yehsas, a social worker from abroad inspired the founder to start Women Welfare Association for the upliftment of the women of Muslim community in the area. From then onwards, the association continues to empower women to assume leadership roles and concerned citizens who will contribute to the world of knowledge and work. The second step undertaken the association to educate the young boys and girls of the community. So, The Crescent English Medium School was started which is a testimony to the vision of the Founder and dedication of those who serve it. It has become a benchmark today to measure the academic, co-curricular and extra-curricular excellence. Indeed, the school has a lot to celebrate when we look back and I do remember all the departed committee members for their dedication, determination and perseverance which helped the association and perseverance which helped the association to scale this great height. On this occasion, I pray Almighty Allah for their ”Magfirath”. I feel, it is my duty to offer my gratitude to the members who are working hard for the betterment of the community.
I am glad that the Crescent School is publishing its silver jubilee souvenir to commemorate the 25 years of its glory and its service to humanity. When the bells of Silver Jubilee resound in the ears of everyone, I congratulate the school for having made a significant impact on the lives of so many right minds.
I take this occasion to congratulate the Principal, Staff, students and parents for their strong sense of commitment, service and responsibility that has transformed the institution in to an outstanding institution in Mangalore.
